Kaine - NieR (2021)

One of the main difficulties of this costume was to remain accurate to the design while still being covered up so that the costume is appropriate to wear. In order to do this, I got bra cups and painted them to match my skin tone and then created the costume on top of that. I did this as well with her shorts in the back as they normally have a large slit, so instead I created knit/mesh layered inserts that are the same color as my skin to give the appearance the shorts have the slit without having them be too revealing. The swords were made out of 10mm EVA foam sanded down to the right shape and dremeled at the blades with wooden dowels and foam for the details.
