Painwheel - Skullgirls (2013)

This was one of the first cosplays I ever did, but I think it still has some notable qualities. The mask is made with model magic clay and brushed over with latex to give it a leathery look. The “nails” that come out of the arms are on a base with tissue paper and latex and applied to the skin with spirit gum. The giant wheel that comes out of the back is attached to myself with a criss-cross harness, and attached on a back plate. The wheel itself is made out of segmented PVC pipes for the spine and then the blade is foamboard with caulk filling in the edges. For the “dome” parts it was made from various household items on a home-made shop vacuuform.
